The colonial lady observes her surroundings while keeping the sun out of her eyes with her parasol and waiting for her escort to return. The gown is made of jacquard. Bodice and sleeves are lined in cotton, front inset of bodice is made of satin and contains seven steel bones for extra support. Sleeves are 3/4 in length, flared at elbow and folded over at the end and features a 4″ wide lace trim. Gown is edged with 1″ wide lace trim all around the front. Underskirt is made of sturdy eggshell crinkled cotton and satin. Gown is held together by sixteen grommets at the back and two 14″ steel bones and laced with matching grosgrain ribbon.
