Do
you vend at Renaissance Faires?
Currently,
we do not vend at Renaissance Faires. As the entire line is made to order,
we do not keep a large inventory or items in stock.
Do
you have a printed catalog you can send out?
At this time, we do not have a printed catalog to send out. The
photographs with descriptions on the website is the best online catalog we
have available. Please feel free to print out any of the photographs from
the website for your personal use. You may not reproduce any of the
pages within this website or use any of the images for any reason without
prior written permission from Dragonfly House Historical Clothiers.
What
if I need a custom size other than what is offered on the website?
We do offer custom sizes. Please contact us by email for these sizes and
we will respond to your request informing you if the size you desire is
available. Every piece of clothing is offered individually so as to work
with everybody’s special dimensions.
Can
the size of my clothing be altered once it is made?
No.
If you feel a standard size won’t fit you, please order a custom size.
All bodices are made with grommets at the front, back and or sides and it
would be impossible to take apart and adjust the garment without
destroying it. All other garments (shirts, chemises, skirts and pants) are
all more flexible in sizing and we do not feel it necessary to alter the
sizes of any of our clothing once it is completed.
If
I design my own gown, could you make it for me?
We would be happy to take a look at your design and see if we can
create it for you as long as it is reasonable and not something outrageous
that cannot be made. We hold the right to refuse and return any design
submitted.
Do
you offer Renaissance wedding gowns?
Yes. Please let us know what
particular style of gown you would be interested in. There are some great
selections in the pattern books from your local fabric store.
Do
you accept returns?
Sorry, All Sales are Final.
What
about exchanges?
Unfortunately
because these costumes are custom made there are no exchanges. Please be
accurate with your sizes and colors.
What
method of payment do you accept?
Visa, Master
Card, Discover, Paypal and American Express. Money Orders and
Cashiers Checks are accepted for US residents only. If you wish to make a purchase with Money Order or Cashiers Check, please send email to
masq10@charter.net
for the address for this type of payment. When sending in your order please include correct order number(s), quantity, sizes and colors.
If
purchasing an order with Money Order or Cashiers Check, Please understand that your order will not be
scheduled for production until your payment is received and cleared. Order paid by
personal checks are held up to 10 business days to clear. Returned
checks incur a $25 charge.
International
orders must be paid by credit card only in US currency.
How
long does it take to receive an order?
Orders are usually processed
within 1 to 2 days and the current production time for standard orders is
approximately 12 weeks plus the time it takes for delivery. All
orders are completed in the order that they are received.
How
far in advance should I place my order for my Renaissance Faire/Halloween,
etc.?
The
time recommended for placing your order is at least 4 months in advance of
any special date you need your clothing for, as all clothing is made to
order. Most order can be filled in approximately 12 weeks, not including
shipping time. You want to be sure your clothing ships out at least a
month prior of your required date, to make sure everything fits properly
and no adjustments need to be made.
Do
you offer Rush Services?
No. All orders
need this 12 week period of time to be completed with the quality and care
it deserves.
Do
you offer any discounts?
Discounts are
currently given on complete sets only.
Do
you offer custom length sizing for the short or tall person?
Yes, of course. We offer
this service at no additional charge simply because we like our customers
to be satisfied with their garments. Cloaks, robes, skirts and gowns are
completely customized if the customer requests it. If no request is made
then the sizes are standard. We ask that you please be accurate, as
you don’t want your cloak to drag in the dirt. For cloaks and robes,
measure from base of neck to ankle. For skirts, measure from bottom
of rib cage to ankle. For gowns, measure from shoulder to ankle.
